Strategic National's mission is simple: To empower grassroots activists and average citizens, so they can help good candidates revolutionize their neighborhoods, states, and nation, one campaign at a time. Some of their most notable clients include Judge Bill Shuette, Governor Rick Snyder, and Senator John McCain.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
As an intern, I worked with the Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley's reelection. I provided mostly administrative services such as data entry and event scheduling. Additionally, I contributed to volunteer coordination at the Republican Leadership Conference on Mackinac Island in September and worked to maintain contact with those volunteers in the months after the conference in an effort to recruit precinct delegates.

Favorite Part of the Experience
I enjoyed volunteer coordinating at the conference the most because it gave me the opportunity to show my skills as well as learn from other professionals in action. I also got the opportunity to meet many important individuals that weekend.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
I was offered a job with a political consulting firm in Indianapolis as a result of this internship. I did not even apply for this job it was simply offered to me after the president of the company saw my hard work at the conference. I have accepted the position as an Account Associate and look forward to the new chapter of my life in Indianapolis.
