Autocam is large automotive supplier that specializes in tight tolerance and high volume machining.
Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
At my time at Autocam I worked as a Manufacturing Quality Engineer, so I was responsible for both the production and quality of the parts made on my product line. I got to help develop and implement vision systems, new machining ops as well as be a valued member of and engineering group.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
I learned a lot about resource management and how best to deal with people
Favorite Part of the Experience
My favorite part of the co-op experience was being to interact and get my hands dirty with the machinists and my fellow engineers.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
I have actually accepted a permanent position at Autocam.
