Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
Projects and tasks included writing a PLC program to control and monitor equipment (heat gun) via interfacing Allen Bradley ControlLogix systems with hardware by generated tags (timer and control). Also, it included creating a Macro to assist in importing and generating data for use in software. It also included human machine interface design and implementation on machines to interface between machine and operator and also included data transfer via machine to databases.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
Knowledge in Allen Bradly ControlLogix systems hardware and software, Ignition software, overall project design and operations and implementation, customer requirements and design specifications, and valuable communication between the costumer and company. Skills in programming Allen Bradly ControlLogix systems software, Ignition software integration and design.
Favorite Part of the Experience
My favorite part of this Co-op experience involved being out on the floor with the machines and taking part in integration and simulation of the human machine interface designs.

The experience provided an in depth look into the powerful technology available to design, control, operate and monitor machines. This influential experience has marked a turning point in my future career goals as an engineer by understanding the needs of both innovation and technology.
