Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
I was brought onto their team as the 15th Year Anniversary Lead Intern. I was in charge of planning their fall celebration event during Grand Valley's Homecoming week. I was in charge of contacting multiple venues and choosing the one that best fit the vision of the center for the homecoming event. I was in charge of marketing the event, booking all the food and beverages for the event.

I gained a great amount of communication skills and how to apply them in different situations. I was able to work with professionals in the Grand Rapids area.

My favorite part of this internship was having the ability to work hands on the whole project- I really got to take the lead on the entire event and I learned a lot from that leadership role.
