Description of the Tasks/Projects Completed
I was tasked with developing and running tests on various embedded devices designed to meet customer specifications. Most of my work was project-specific updates for requirements verification that related to features like the Homelink wireless control system.
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
I learned the steps and processes Gentex test engineers go through to professionally run tests and collaborate with other departments to prepare a product for a customer. I mostly learned how to use National Instrument's TestStand and VeriStand to develop and runs tests on embedded devices.
Favorite Part of the Experience
My favorite part is the positive work environment. Everyone you interact with is very professional and intentional making working together painless and quite enjoyable.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
Before this internship, I didn't know if embedded systems were something I was really interested in, but now I can see myself making a career around them.
