Finally I was helping put on Roundball Bash which is a large annual event at BCHS to fundraise money
Skills/Knowledge Gained Through The Experience
Some skills/knowledge that I learned throughout this experience included budgeting, hiring process, event setup, scheduling, website development, and just helping Brady with an other daily tasks to make his job easier.
Favorite Part of the Experience
My favorite part of this internship experience was the amount of hands on experience I was able to gain as well as the connections I have been able to make. Brady gave me a large variety of tasks to complete throughout the day that were outside and inside of the office so I got to learn both aspects. I also enjoyed helping Brady with the development and renovations of the high school.
How the Experience Influenced Future Career Goals
This experience has shown me the in and outs of what it takes to be an athletic director and run a high school athletic program. Before this internship I was doing it to try and see how I would like this career field. After my completion, it is now something that I have very high interest in and plan to strive and find an AD job in the future. Even though I was not getting paid it was a very enjoyable experience and would recommend it to anyone looking for athletic director experience.
