In reflection of the University commitment to sustainability, Facilities Services Grand Rapids and Regional Centers has expanded the recycling program. We have increased the range of items that we are able to recycle and have placed additional containers for public recycling. We also participate in the annual Recyclemania competition!

Document Shredding on Campus
Shredding services are handled by each department individually, but can be contracted through West Michigan Shredding [email protected]. Services range from stationary locked box with varying empty schedules to temporary mobile carts (locking 95-gallon) brought in for department shredding projects. Please contact West Michigan Shredding for pricing and container placement.
Private Office Recycling: Paper
We have equipped each office with a paper recycling bin, which can accommodate almost any type of paper you would like to recycle!

There are large, blue multi-product recycling bins all over the Grand Rapids Campus! These bins have two sections - one for paper products (see list above) and the other is for plastic, metal and/or glass. In the plastic/metal/glass containers, you can recycle the following items:
