Augsburg CGEE Europe: Conflict, Peace, and Transition in Northern Ireland Deadline
Date and Time
Friday, November 1, 2024
Description
Augsburg CGEE programs are in unique locations, focused on community-based learning, social justice, and human rights and are open to all majors and minors!
Program:
Examine the work of justice, reconciliation, and repair while also completing an internship in a peacebuilding organization.
On this program, students will live, work, and learn in the city of Derry-Londonderry. There and other parts of Northern Ireland, including Belfast and border areas, students meet with community members directly impacted by violence, who now work to share stories and foster healing dialogue. Students will complete coursework that helps lend context to the history and culture of the region, while also completing an intensive internship in the community. Internships are in a setting that focuses on one or more of the key themes: Diversity and Inclusion; Equality and Social Justice; Democracy and Active Participation; or Human Rights and Social Responsibility.
This event has been tagged as fellowships.
