DAAD RISE (Research Internships in Science and Engineering) Deadline
Date and Time
Saturday, November 30, 2024
Description
The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) offers RISE (Research Internships in Science and Engineering) internship programs over summer (with options for fall and spring, if the student can be away from campus for the internship experience):
RISE has established itself as an outstanding opportunity to combine serious research with a rewarding study-abroad experience. These programs are tailored to students from the fields of engineering, physics, chemistry, biology, earth sciences (geology), computer science, and related disciplines.
RISE Germany is a summer internship program that gives undergraduates the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects at top research institutions (e.g. Max-Planck-Institutes) and universities in Germany. Students are paired with German PhD students in unique mentoring partnerships to ensure immediate integration into hands-on lab work, a built-in social network, and an excellent opportunity to develop new technical skills. RISE Germany participants receive scholarships to cover living expenses. See Welcome to RISE - DAAD. And this is the page with the details - RISE Germany. Here’s the page for the internship hunt - Find an internship | RISE, which also has the application link.
Learn more about RISE Germany at RISE Germany (daad.de).
RISE Professional matches Master's and PhD students with well-known German companies where they gain insight into the professional applications of science and engineering and develop practical skills. Undergraduate alumni of the RISE program and recent graduates are also welcome to apply. Internships can last up to six months. All participants receive a scholarship from DAAD and an additional stipend from their host company/institution to cover living expenses.
