Description

Course Description: This workshop is designed to explore the complex rights and responsibilities that come with owning a family business. Targeting family business members, both current and future owners, this workshop aims to delve into the goals, needs, and expectations of multigenerational family business members, who play a crucial role in shaping the destiny of their businesses. Participants will work on a self-assessment questionnaire to determine their current and aspirational ownership profiles, forming a foundation for both individual and collective learning and awareness of themselves as current and/or future family business owners.

Workshop Format: This interactive workshop offers a flexible and practical approach to understanding family business ownership. Through open discussions, participants will reflect on their roles and envision their future involvement in the family business. The inclusion of a mini case study based on a real business family encourages reflection about ownership issues and potential paths moving forward. By the end of the workshop, participants will have clearer understanding and awareness of their ownership responsibilities and how these can influence shareholder meetings and corporate governance. This hands-on approach ensures that participants leave with actionable insights and strategies to enhance their roles as responsible family business owners.
