Faculty and staff members are invited to attend sessions that will provide an overview of results from the Collaborative on Academic Careers in Higher Education (COACHE) Faculty Job Satisfaction survey.

Meetings are planned through mid-October, including one virtual session. Dates, times and locations are listed below. Register for a session online; if registering for the October 15 virtual meeting, a Zoom invite will be sent.

  • Health Campus: Friday, October 4, 2 p.m., DeVos Center for Interprofessional Health, room 445
  • Pew Grand Rapids Campus: October 9, 3 p.m., Seidman Center, Forum Room
  • Allendale Campus: October 11, 2 p.m., Kirkhof Center, room 2270
  • Virtual: October 15, 3 p.m., link will be sent after registering

At the meetings, faculty who are members of the COACHE Steering Committee will provide an overview of the survey, including the reported strengths and areas of concern, and facilitate a discussion of next steps.

A preview of the report is available online. It offers comparisons to a set of five GVSU-selected peers and to the larger 2023-2024 COACHE cohort, which includes 85 institutions. Following a recommendation from the Network of Advisors, Grand Valley joined COACHE, a Harvard University Graduate School of Education project, for the 2023-2026 academic years.
