David Hooker is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park.  David has had the privilege of helping the board, team members and volunteers fulfill and advance the unique mission of Meijer Gardens.  He is also the former President of Mazda Great Lakes. 

David is a member of the Board of Directors of Northpointe Bancshares, Advisory Board of Custer Office Environments, and currently serves as an Elder at Central Reformed Church.  He has served as a board member of ArtPrize, Grand Rapids Student Advancement Foundation, Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital and Foundation, Frederik Meijer Charitable Trust, Home Repair Services and is a former trustee and chair of the Board of Grand Valley State University where he served an 8-year term.

David earned a Masters of Business Administration at the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kenyon College.
