Elizabeth Murray
Elizabeth Murray served as Grand Valley State University’s third first lady from 2001-2006. She was active supporting the university as it opened the Cook-DeVos Center for Health Sciences, Keller Engineering Labs, and Lake Ontario Hall. During this time the university expanded its enrollment with both record numbers and an expanded draw from across the state and Midwest. The university also began its run of dominance in NCAA Division II sports. The Murray’s established the Mark A. and Elizabeth C. Murray Scholarship for Study Abroad to support students who want to study abroad but otherwise cannot afford to do so. Elizabeth served on GVSU’s WMPB Digital Campaign Committee and Shaping Our Future Campaign Committee. She has always shared her love for education, and continues to invest her time, talent, and treasure in support of GVSU.
