James M. Teets
James (Jim) Teets is the president and chief executive officer of ADAC Automotive. He has been with ADAC for 25 years, holding various positions in sales and marketing, manufacturing, as well as his current role as CEO.
Jim earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Michigan State University in 1980. He is on the Board of Directors of ADAC, in addition to the following organizations: The Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA), Talent 2025, the Grand Valley University Foundation, and the West Michigan Policy Forum (WMPF). He also serves on the Board of Regents for Baker College of Muskegon. He has served on the capital campaigns for the MSU College of Human Medicine, Lacks Cancer Center at St. Mary’s Hospital, Heart of West Michigan United Way, and the Hope Lodge of the American Cancer Society. In 2009, Jim was the executive co-chair for the American Cancer Society’s Cattle Barron’s Ball.
ADAC Automotive is a closely-held family business, operating as a tier-one automotive parts supplier headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan. ADAC, founded in 1975, manufactures molded and painted interior and exterior door handles, exterior mirrors, as well as exterior trim products from their facilities located in West Michigan. Today, ADAC employs over 1,250 associates in Michigan.
Through its partnership in the VAST (Vehicle Access Systems Technology) alliance with WITTE Automotive of Germany and STRATTEC SECURITY CORPORATION of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, ADAC has developed their global footprint to serve automotive customers worldwide. Through this alliance, ADAC has manufacturing facilities in Mexico, Brazil, Europe, India and China, along with sales and engineering offices in Japan and Korea. Jim also serves on the Board of Directors of VAST LLC.
