James R. Sebastian, Jr.
James R. Sebastian, Jr. attended Albion College and graduated from Stanford University and Washington University (St. Louis) School of Law. He practiced law in Grand Rapids with Schmidt, Smith, Howlett and Halliday, and then worked with Rapistan Incorporated as executive vice president and president. He then went on to become the chairman of Management Techniques, a management consulting firm. Jim has also served as a trustee and chairman of the Grand Rapids Community Foundation, and has served on the boards of numerous community organizations. He is the son of Audrey and James Sebastian, who were major benefactors of GVSU engineering programs and helped launch the program in 1986.
