Karen Henry Stokes is president of the Paul B. Henry Foundation and served as the vice chair of the Grand Valley State University Board of Trustees until 2004. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Wheaton College and has piano performance degrees from the Royal Conservatory of Toronto and the University of Manitoba. Karen is a past member of the Michigan Civil Rights Commission and a former board member of the Gilmore Keyboard Festival and Hospice of Michigan. She currently serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Grand Rapids Symphony, a board on which she has served for over twenty years. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of Opera Grand Rapids.
