M. Catherine (Cathy) Bissell is the director of corporate affairs for BISSELL Inc. and founder of BISSELL Pet Foundation, a charitable nonprofit organization with a mission to help reduce the number of animals in shelters and to support organizations across the nation dedicated to the humane care and treatment of animals. Cathy is also the co-founder of LostPetUSA.net, a searchable nationwide database of essential tools and resources to easily and efficiently reunite lost pets with their families.  In addition to her role as a director of the GVU Foundation, Cathy has been active in several university campaigns, including the Building for Life, Grand Design, and Expanding Vision campaigns, resulting in improved facilities and experiences for the GVSU community.  Currently, she serves on the GVU Foundation Community Leadership Scholarship Committee.  In 1997, Cathy was honored with the GVSU Leadership Award.
