As the CEO of the Grand Haven based JSJ Corporation, Nelson Jacobson understands the impact Grand Valley State University is having on the region. Nelson joined JSJ in 1986 after previous experience at The Dow Chemical Company and McKinsey & Company. He was most recently executive vice president and chief operating officer for JSJ. Previously, he served as corporate officer responsible for JSJ's International Business Development, and its Furniture and Distribution Business Units. Nelson has been instrumental in building JSJ's manufacturing and selling capabilities in China, as well as providing services to other Michigan companies entering China’s market.
