Timothy (Tim) Schowalter is the president and CEO of Pioneer Construction, a Grand Rapids-based contractor with annual revenues in excess of $100 million and approximately 250 full-time employees. He graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in civil engineering. Tim and his wife, Barbie, have three children. He is a board member of the John Ball Zoo, the Pine Rest Foundation, Founders Brewing Company, and the Associated Builders & Contractors' West Michigan Chapter. Tim and Barbie received the Grand Valley State University Leadership award at the 2010 Enrichment Dinner. Tim says his greatest professional accomplishment was the construction of the Richard M. DeVos Center on the Pew Grand Rapids Campus.
