Learn how to write a grant proposal, format a citation, create a cover letter, and write other works common to graduate students. These guides may be useful for completing an array of writings tasks regardless of your graduate program.
Review outstanding examples of writing produced by GVSU faculty and students in your program. Program specific examples have been selected from the GVSU ScholarWorks database and include capstone projects, theses/dissertations, literature reviews, case studies, and other published works.
The Graduate School has created a comprehensive webpage with the latest thesis and dissertation information including templates, guidelines, forms and other related resources. Deadlines and procedures are also featured on the page.

General Writing Resources |

Consider utilizing the free software Grammarly to grow your writing cohesion. It is more than just a spell-check tool; Grammarly can give you writing recommendations based on audience, style, emotion, and intent. Additionally, it informs the writer about text readability, sentence length, and even speaking time. Utilize the software as an add-on in your browser, Microsoft Word, or a desktop application.
Program-Specific Writing Examples
Review outstanding examples of writing produced by GVSU faculty and students in your program. Program specific examples have been selected from the GVSU ScholarWorks database along with other submissions approved by faculty. Capstone projects, theses/dissertations, literature reviews, case studies, and other published works are included along with some program specific assignments. In many instances, written components such as abstracts, literature reviews, and tables of contents have been pulled from given theses or projects for the sake of accessibility.

PACES ResourcesThe PACES Resources page features numerous materials to prepare graduate students for their careers. The topics covered on the webpage include resources pertaining to Professionalism, Advancement, Communication, Engagement, and Success.
Statistical Consulting CenterThe Statistical Consulting Center offers assistance with project/thesis work, building models, data analysis/calculations, and interpreting results. They can also aid with designing a study or formulating a survey.
The Writing CenterThe Writing Center works closely with students who need support for any type of writing activity. They have drop-in and online appointments available, as well as availability on both the Allendale and Grand Rapids campuses.
