MIGC Now Accepting Admissions for its 17th Annual Conference

The Midwest Interdisciplinary Graduate Conference (MIGC) is now accepting submissions for its 17th annual conference. This will be held in a hybrid format in-person and virtually through the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee on February 18-20, 2022.
The MIGC is an annual event that seeks to support the collaboration of national and international graduate student research and art across all disciplines. The annual conference and theme are entirely organized by graduate students with the goal of reflecting on current theoretical debates and trends across the humanities, sciences, and arts.
This year’s theme is “Access,” which the concept is described as the liberty, permission, or ability to have or make use of informational resources or services. Recent world events have brought global attention on issues relating to equity of access such as racism, neurodiversity, and the right to self-identification of individuals. MIGC invites scholars across all disciplines and research interests to present work that broadens current understandings of global access.
Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Access to information and services;
- Online social movements;
- White supremacy and patriarchy in all forms and institutions;
- And more.
Current graduate and postgraduate students may apply by submitting a 300-word submission for individual papers, panels, roundtables, workshops, or other formats through the MIGC website or Google form by December 30, 2021. Please include a title, institutional affiliation, department, and whether you are a master’s, doctoral, or postgraduate student.
