Engineering Students win GV Hult Prize Competition
January 21, 2016
Hult Prize is an organization run by the Clinton Foundation that encourages college students to create social ventures in order to solve some of the world’s largest, most complex problems. This year Grand Valley was chosen as a hosting institution. The winner of the competition automatically qualifies for the quarter final, and a chance to win $1 million in seed funding, and the opportunity to create a solution that can impact thousands of lives. The theme of this year's competition was Crowded Urban Spaces (for more information see https://www.hultprize.org/).
Engineering graduate student Kathryn Christopher put together this years winning team. The team will be heading to the regional quarter final either in Boston or San Francisco. A special thank you to the faculty members who assisted in the brain storming sessions. We would like to congratulate Kathryn and her team on this great accomplishment!
