Arbor Academy, a Grand Valley State University authorized charter
school, has won the School of Excellence Award from the Michigan
Association of Public School Academies (MAPSA). The award is given to
the year’s outstanding public charter school.
“This award is a culmination of a lot of hard work by a team of
people, including Grand Valley, Foundation for Behavioral Resource
Management Company, teachers, students and the administration,” said
Paul Doersam, director of schools and previous principal of Arbor
