Community Foundation awards grant to Children's Center

The Allendale Community Foundation gave a technology grant to the Children's Enrichment Center to help center staff members engage their students in computer literacy and awareness.

Sharalle Arnold, director of the Children's Enrichment Center, said the grant will allow the center to buy an instructional laptop. Aaron Klein Haight, assistant director for Student Life, told Arnold about the grant opportunity. Haight also wrote a letter of support; additional letters were sent by Bart Merkle, dean of students; and Tricia Kannigieter, a teacher at the center.

"Technology offers great opportunities for our students," Arnold said. "I am so happy that our program is supported by our campus community and the Allendale community."
