The Counseling and Career Development Center will host its 13th
annual multicultural seminar, "Clinical and Vocational Issues
with the LGBT Population," on Friday, November 6.
Ruth Fassinger, dean of the College of Education at California
State University-Stanislaus, is the keynote speaker. Her research
includes sexuality and sexual orientation, and diversity and advocacy
in mental health arenas. Fassinger received an Outstanding Achievement
Award from the American Psychological Association for her work on LGBT issues.
The seminar will run from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Kirkhof
Center, Grand River Room. Cost to attend is $90 ($50 for students).
