DeVos Art Lecture features design leader John Berry

The 10th Annual DeVos Art Lecture Series at GrandValleyStateUniversity will explore the symbiotic relationship between art and design: their differences, similarities and their role in today's economy.

Honorary Chair Marcia Knapp Haas and Director of GVSU Galleries and Collections Henry Matthews, welcome the West Michigan community to the event on Thursday, September 24, at 5:30 p.m. in the Loosemore Auditorium, DeVosCenter, 401 West Fulton St., on the Pew Grand Rapids Campus. Special guest John Berry will share his views and experiences in his lecture, “The Purpose of Design.”

 

Berry is the executive director of Design West Michigan and an associate of Greystone Global. He is a public relations and communications strategist with more than 35 years of professional design leadership, including vice president of Corporate Communications with Herman Miller.

The lecture is free and open to the public, with free parking in the Front Street lot.
