This is the 20th anniversary of the conference offered every two
years by the Michigan Ceramic Art Association. Two full days of
demonstrations, seminars, exhibitions and instruction bring together
ceramic artists from throughout the state on October 2-3, at the GVSU
Calder Art Center Ceramics Studio, Allendale Campus.
This year's featured artist is Mark Chatterley, a ceramic artist
from Williamston known nationally and internationally for creating
large-scale figures. Keynote speaker Thom Bohnert, from C.S. Mott
Community College in Flint, will present, "On a
Wire/Unplugged." Both presentations are on Saturday, from 1:30 -
4:40 p.m. in Lake Huron Hall, room 132.
A complete schedule is available at www.michclay.com. For more
information, contact Daniel Bare, GVSU ceramics instructor, at (616)
