Chiaroscuro Film Series promotes cultural diversity

A series of six international films will be screened at the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts, 41 Sheldon SE, Grand Rapids, on various Sundays in January through April - see complete listing below. Show time begins at 2:30 p.m. with a short film by local talent, followed by the feature film, a 20-minute panel discussion and refreshments. Admission is free.

Under the theme "The Muses," each of the 2010 series' films reflects some aspect of the process by which people of various origins and cultures find or explore one of the arts. Coordinated by educators from local universities and members of the community, the series' mission is to promote cultural diversity and awareness for the benefit of students and members of the community.
