A four-year trend analysis of juvenile offenses within the city of
Grand Rapids was prepared by the Community Research Institute at the
Johnson Center for Philanthropy, in partnership with the Grand Rapids
Police Department and Our Community’s Children.
The Grand Rapids Juvenile Offense Index reports on juvenile
offenses by youth (8-16 years old) in Grand Rapids, covering a
four-year period from January 1, 2006 to December 31, 2009. The
160-page report describes the scope, frequency and circumstances of
juvenile offenses.
Findings of the report were released to community leaders at a
news conference October 28 at the Grand Rapids Police Department.
