Vincent Valdmann, director of Renault Nissan Purchasing
Organization, will explore the importance of developing trust in
strategic partnerships during his first speaking engagement in
Michigan at the 12th Annual Automotive Suppliers Symposium.
The symposium, hosted by Grand Valley State University’s Van
Andel Global Trade Center and Seidman College of Business, will unlock
the energy of optimism and innovation for the future of the automotive
industry. Speakers will address the near-and long-term outlooks of the
industry, as well as the emergence of different models of mobility and
the opportunities they present for suppliers.
The event is open to media and takes place Wednesday, September
22, from 8-11:30 a.m., at Loosemore Auditorium in the DeVos Center on
Grand Valley’s Pew Grand Rapids Campus, 401 W. Fulton St.

BACKGROUND
Vincent Valdmann is responsible for all vehicle
purchasing in North America. He joined Nissan North America in 2008 as
director of RNPO Powertrain. Prior to this assignment, he was located
in Paris where he was deputy general–supplier account manager for RNPO
Powertrain components. Vincent has 18 years of experience in the
automotive industry with 12 years dedicated to Powertrain engineering
for Renault. He earned a degree in mechanical engineering and two
master’s degrees in engine engineering and industrial operations management.
