The 2010 DeVos Art Lecture, in conjunction with Grand Valley State University's 50th Anniversary, will feature guest speaker Eames Demetrios, chairman of the Eames Foundation and director of Eames Office.
Honorary Chair Marcia Knapp Haas and Director of GVSU Galleries and Collections Henry Matthews, welcome the West Michigan community to the event on Thursday, September 23, at 5:30 p.m., in the Loosemore Auditorium, DeVos Center, 401 West Fulton Street, on the Pew Grand Rapids Campus.
The grandson of renowned designers Charles and Ray Eames, Demetrios is an award-winning filmmaker, author, artist and three-dimensional storyteller. He will weave together the myriad threads of his fascinating life journey and diverse interests during the 11th Annual DeVos Art Lecture.
A reception for Demetrios, and the ArtPrize 2010 artists participating at the Grand Valley State University Outdoor Art & Sculpture Exhibition Center, will follow in the Hagger-Lubbers Exhibition Hall.
