From baseball player to author to business owner, Doug Glanville
brings a diverse background to his presentation for the Professionals
of Color Lecture Series on Thursday, November 4.
“Life, Baseball and Business” will begin at 6 p.m. in Loosemore
Auditorium in the DeVos Center. It is sponsored by the Office of
Multicultural Affairs and Seidman College of Business. The lecture is
free and open to the public.
After earning a degree from the University of Pennsylvania,
Glanville played outfield for nine seasons with the Chicago Cubs, New
York Yankees, Texas Rangers and Philadelphia Phillies. He was also a
players representative for the MLB Players Association.
Now an analyst for ESPN, Glanville is also an author; his book,
The Game From Where I Stand, provides a look into the life of a
baseball player. He is the founder of GK Alliance, a green-friendly
real estate company in Chicago.
