Twenty-one graduate students were honored with Graduate Dean’s
Citation Awards during a ceremony held December 10 in Loosemore
Auditorium of the DeVos Center. The students were recognized for
excellence in academic performance.
Graduate students can be nominated by faculty and staff,
advisors, graduate program director, department chair or school
director. The nominees are reviewed by the dean of Graduate Studies in
consultation with others involved in graduate education; final
selection is made by the dean. Each recipient is given a certificate
of recognition, a graduate honors cord, and an ‘academic excellence’
pin. Recipients of the thesis, project, and publication awards, as
well as the two service awards, also receive a gold star symbolizing a
high level of performance in academic work.
The Graduate and Professional Student Association (GPSA) and the
Office of Graduate Studies hosted the event. Award winners are listed below.
