Grand Valley has been awarded $67,591 in grant money from the Michigan Space Grant Consortium. The funds will be coordinated and administered by the Regional Math and Science Center.
Fellowships were awarded to students Kent Walters, Kyle Siemer, Kurt O’Hearn, Scott Bleier, Anthony Montoya, John Bender, Elizabeth Koeman, Hannah Tavalire, and Deb Dila.
Program funds for education, teacher training and public outreach were awarded to Charlene Beckman, professor of mathematics; Karen Meyers, director of the Regional Math and Science Center; and Margo Dill, program coordinator of the Regional Math and Science Center. Research seed grant awards were given to Brent Bolen, assistant professor of physics, and John Bender, associate professor of chemistry. Mary Ann Sheline, grant administrator for RMSC, is Grand Valley’s representative to the Michigan Space Grant Consortium.
