Grand Valley was recognized as a top producer of Fulbright Scholars by the Chronicle of Higher Education.
Several faculty members received Fulbright grants during the 2010-2011 academic year. Hermann Kurthen, associate professor of sociology, received a grant to conduct research in Germany; and Scott Stabler, assistant professor of history, received a grant to study in Ghana; and Susan Carson, associate professor of education, recently earned a grant to study in India.
The Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. government; it is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.
