Gov. Jennifer M. Granholm has appointed two new members to Grand
Valley State University's Board of Trustees for terms beginning
January 2011.
The new appointees are Douglas W. Crim of
Haslett, an attorney with the Lansing office of Miller Canfield, and
Mary Kramer of Detroit, publisher of Crain's Detroit Business. Both
are graduates of Grand Valley and active in the Alumni Association.
President Thomas J. Haas spoke to each of them thanking them for their
willingness to serve the university.
These appointments
stand unless the Senate rejects them within 60 days of Granholm's
appointment, on or before Sept. 1. If confirmed by the Senate, Crim
and Kramer will succeed Trustees Dorothy Johnson and Lucille Taylor on
January 1, 2011.
