Grand Valley State University has once again been named one of the
best universities in the Midwest, according to The Princeton Review.
Grand Valley was selected as one of 152 institutions in the “Best in
the Midwest” section of its website feature 2011 Best Colleges: Region
by Region.
The Princeton Review said colleges and universities are selected
primarily for their excellent academic programs. The list is based on
data collected from each school and visits to each school. Students
are also given an 80-question survey asking about their campus experiences.
The Princeton Review survey for this project asks students to
rate their own schools on several issues — from the accessibility of
their professors, to quality of the campus food — and answer questions
about themselves, their fellow students, and their campus life.
Grand Valley State University attracts more than 24,400 students
with high-quality programs and state-of-the-art facilities. Grand
Valley is a comprehensive university serving students from all 83
Michigan counties and dozens of other states and foreign countries.
Grand Valley offers 78 undergraduate and 28 graduate degree programs
from campuses in Allendale, Grand Rapids and Holland, and from
regional centers in Muskegon and Traverse City. The university is
dedicated to individual student achievement, going beyond the
traditional classroom experience, with research opportunities and
business partnerships.
