ALLENDALE, Mich. — Grand Rapids native and former Detroit Tiger
Dave Rozema will be the special guest at Grand Valley State
University’s 2010 Sleep Inn & Suites All-Alumni Benefit Golf
Outing on July 10 at the Meadows Golf Course.
The 18-hole, four-person scramble is a fundraiser for the Mary
Idema Pew Library Learning and Information Commons, a new library for
the 21st century and the centerpiece of Grand Valley’s Shaping Our
Future comprehensive campaign.
Registration is from noon-1:15 p.m., with the shotgun start at
1:30 p.m. A barbecue and awards ceremony will follow. An instructional
program for beginning golfers will also be offered at 3:30 p.m.
