GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Valley State University's Center for
Entrepreneurship and Innovation has launched a new website that
executive director Linda Chamberlain hopes will become a hub for West
Michigan entrepreneurs to find the best resources and information to
help their businesses succeed.
The site (www.entreprnr.net) was developed
in response to Chamberlain’s experience coaching and mentoring West
Michigan entrepreneurs who were challenged in finding the right
resources to help them start and grow their businesses.
"After years of coaching and mentoring and connecting with
entrepreneurs in the region, one message was consistent and clear —
they need a better way to find the right resources they need when they
need them,” Chamberlain said. “This website is geared to provide a
solution for this need.”
The site includes information about business acceleration and
advisory services, access to capital, and incubation services. It also
contains an information and education section to help entrepreneurs
who are self-motivated learners.
Chamberlain added that the site will also include a blog with a
monthly topic for conversation. She also hopes to modify the site to
respond to the expressed needs of entrepreneurs. “This site needs
community involvement to maximize the value it can provide,” she said.
