Hauenstein Center hosts debates for 3rd District candidates

Grand Valley State University’s Hauenstein Center for Presidential Studies will host two debates featuring the Republican and Democratic candidates competing for the 3rd congressional district of Michigan.

 
The “3rd District Congressional Debates: The Race to Replace Congressman Vern Ehlers,” will be held on the second floor of the Eberhard Center, 301 W. Fulton, Grand Rapids. The schedule is as follows:
 
Democratic Primary Debate
July 22 at 7 p.m. with candidates Paul Mayhue and Patrick Miles
 
Republican Primary Debate
July 27 at 7 p.m. with candidates Justin Amash, Steve Heacock, Bill Hardiman, Louise Johnson and Bob Overbeek.
