GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Valley State University is home to a
variety of intellectual and technical resources that may be helpful to
businesses. Now, those business owners, entrepreneurs and others can
find those resources in one location, thanks to a new website launched
this week at www.gvsu.edu/businessresource.
"Grand Valley has one of the most comprehensive business
support networks in Michigan, and this new portal will help the
university share its knowledge, expertise, and opportunities
regionally and beyond," said Seidman College of Business Dean H.
James Williams.
The site collects 17 different entities within Grand Valley and
offers both organizational and topical links to a wide range of
consulting, training, market specialization, research and other
services. The project was spearheaded by Carol Lopucki, state director
of the Michigan Small Business and Technology Development Center.
Lopucki said she wanted to help connect entrepreneurs to the
assistance they need to be successful.
"Grand Valley has increased its outreach programs and truly
has a tremendous variety of services to offer to the business
community," Lopucki said. "We decided that we needed to
bring everyone together and package this so the community can
understand it and navigate through and access the resources they need."
The site's target audiences include the business community and
economic development professionals. The organizations represented include:

Grand Valley State University attracts more than 24,400 students
with high-quality programs and state-of-the-art facilities. Grand
