Local screenings of a family Christmas movie starring Florence
Henderson, by Tom Seidman, son of Grand Valley founder L. William
Seidman, have continued to sell out, prompting Celebration Cinema
North to add more showings.
“The Christmas Bunny,” will play at Celebration Cinema North at
1 p.m. Friday, December 10, and continuing at 1 p.m. each day, through
Thursday, December 16.
The film was shot entirely on location in Ada, Lowell, Zeeland,
Grandville, Alto and Grand Rapids, and made its world premiere at the
theater on November 28. Seidman also directed Grand Valley’s School of
Communications’ 2010 Summer Film Project, “Horizontal Accidents,”
which expects to have a debut in April 2011.
“The Christmas Bunny” has not yet been rated, but is expected to
receive a PG, with some story elements that may be disturbing to very
young children. Tickets are available online at
www.celebrationcinema.com or at Celebration Cinema North, 2121
Celebration Dr. NE, in Grand Rapids. For theater information, call
(616) 530-7469.
