Grand Valley State University’s Student Senate issued a statement regarding Chris Armstrong, the student body president at the University of Michigan. The statement follows:
The Grand Valley State University Student Senate supports Chris Armstrong, the student body president at the University of Michigan who has been criticized and targeted personally by a state assistant attorney general.
The Grand Valley State University Student Senate is committed to inclusion, diversity and tolerance. In alignment with these values, and on behalf of the student body, the Student Senate wishes to extend sincere support for Mr. Armstrong.
Grand Valley’s Student Senate does not support acts of intimidation, including cyber bullying.
