Grand Valley State University's Sustainable Community Development
Initiative is seeking faculty, staff, students, and community members
to present on topics related to sustainability as part of a TEDx event
on October 26.
TEDx events are independently-organized events based on the
unique TED model of a series of short talks (18 minutes or less) by
thinkers and doers from different disciplines, followed by periodic
breaks to facilitate conversation among presenters and attendees. This
fall Grand Valley will join the hundreds of other universities and
organizations from around the world who have hosted TEDx events. The
theme of Grand Valley's event will be "Sustainability-a GRAND tradition."
TEDx Grand Valley will be on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 in the
Cook-DeWitt Center. All presentations will be recorded and posted on
the TEDx YouTube channel.
Visit www.gvsu.edu/tedx
to submit an application to present. Applications are being accepted
through Friday, May 14. For more information contact Emily Martin at [email protected].
