Virginia (Ginny) Esposito, founding president of the National
Center for Family Philanthropy, will give a presentation on the value
of family in philanthropy. Esposito is Grand Valley State University’s
Frey Chair for Family Foundations Visiting Scholar.
Esposito will discuss her latest research on Wednesday, February
17, from 6-9 p.m. in Loosemore Auditorium, DeVos Center, 401 W. Fulton
St., on the Pew Grand Rapids Campus. The event is free and open to the public.
The National Center for Family Philanthropy interviewed leaders
of family philanthropies and conducted regional conversations about
the value of family philanthropy. Esposito will talk about:

philanthropy
• The challenges in giving well
• Family
philanthropy’s value to democracy
Guest panelists include Joel Orosz, distinguished professor of
philanthropic studies at Grand Valley and E. Miles Wilson, director of
The Grantmaking School at the Johnson Center for Philanthropy.
