The Artist-Faculty Series continues with a performance by Giuseppe
Lupis, assistant professor of piano at Grand Valley, Tuesday, March
15, from 8-10 p.m. in Louis Armstrong Theatre, Performing Arts Center,
GVSU Allendale Campus.
As soloist Lupis has appeared in the United States, South
America and Europe. He has also performed with percussionist Ney
Rosauro. His live DVD recording with guitarist Scotty Anderson was
released in 2008. His compact disc of Gershwin’s solo works (Phoenix
label, 2000) was declared “exceptional” by musicologist Alberto Cantu
in “Il Giornale” (Milan, Italy). His interests range from baroque to
contemporary styles and from jazz to his own arrangements of popular music.
