The Grand Valley Alumni Association will present a special event in
the GVSU Art Gallery, Thursday, May 19, from 5:30- 7:30 p.m. to
celebrate alumni art on campus and Grand Valley’s 50th Anniversary.
New alumni works will be on display in the gallery. At 6:30 p.m.
a presentation will be given by Henry Matthews, director of Grand
Valley galleries and collections, and alumnus Richard Kooyman.
Kooyman, BFA ‘79, is a full-time artist who lives and works in
Chicago, IL and Kaleva, MI. He is a visual artist primarily focused on
painting and works on paper.
Complimentary food, beverages and entertainment will be
provided. Complimentary parking is located in parking lot H or K,
south of the Performing Arts Center.
