Registration is underway for the Fruit and Vegetable Challenge,
sponsored by Grand Valley's Health and Wellness department.
The four-week challenge is an effort to help faculty and staff
members become healthier by encouraging more fruits and vegetables in
their diets. The program's goal meets the daily serving guidelines
recommended by the American Cancer Society: women should have about
two cups of fruit and two-and-one-half cups of vegetables daily; men
should have two cups of fruit and three cups of vegetables daily.
Register online at www.gvsu.edu/healthwellness.
The first 35 people to register will receive a free gym bag. Drawings
for free lunches and other prizes will continue throughout the challenge.
The challenge will run June 8-July 5. For more information,
visit the website or call Health and Wellness at x12215.
