'Inside Edition' has segment on the Clark/GVSU LipDub for tonight 's broadcast

The syndicated program, "Inside Edition" will present a segment on the Clark/GVSU LipDub tonight. Check local listings for time and channel. The Today Show  and Good Morning America each broadcasted a segment last week of what may be the nation's first LipDub performed solely by residents of a retirement community - produced through the joint efforts of Clark Retirement Community and Grand Valley.

The LipDub premiered Monday, July 11, at Clark Retirement Community for residents and their families. The video posted on YouTube has had 302,883 views and was awarded "most viewed" in countries ranging from Egypt to Sweden. An additional 56,000 viewers watch it at http://www.vimeo.com/26294157. Grand Valley President Thomas J. Haas spoke about the video on Michelle McCormick's talk show on WJRW 1340, last week, and many stories have been featured in local, national and international media.

Michael Buble’s cover of “Feelin’ Good” sets the pace and an infectious mood throughout the four-minute production. With more than a dozen unique scenes, there are humorous surprises as residents reenact the glamorous days of yesteryear and poke fun at stereotypical views of aging. From a synchronized swim scene to prune juice cocktails, more than 100 Clark residents gave their all throughout a grueling three hours of shooting.

“I loved the GVSU LipDub and thought, why can’t we do that?” said Jane Brierley, director of Marketing and Admissions at Clark. “The residents and students had a fabulous time working together. From practices to sharing meals, it was an amazing experience for everyone.”
