Michigan’s overall agricultural exports in 2010 increased by more
than 10 percent from 2009, reaching $1.75 billion. Food exports
support more than 15,000 jobs and help generate further economic
activity in Michigan.
Grand Valley State University’s Van Andel Global Trade Center is
sponsoring a seminar, “Why to Export?” featuring industry leaders
discussing how food exporting carries significant growth potential in
today’s economy. The seminar is being presented by the Food Export
Association of the Midwest and the Michigan Department of Agriculture
and Rural Development.
